Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge & Cultural Center

Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge & Cultural Center, located in Wellfleet, NE. One of Nebraska's most unique and educational tours avaliable and for a fraction of the price. Dancing Leaf has a great museum compiled with years and year of fossils and artifacts. It allows you to experience Native American primitive life complete with earth lodge, nature and hiking trails, medicine wheel, and canoeing. This is great for people of all ages. Daily 90 minute tours at available at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Admission: $7 adults, $5 children. Edgerton Explorit Center

Edgerton Explorit Center, located in Aurora, NE, is named for Dr. Harold ""Doc"" Edgerton, Aurora native, inventor of  flash photography, the strobe light and side scan sonar,features interactive exhibits, demonstrations and theater programs for all ages. Edgerton has been recognized as one of the 15 most influential inventors of the industrial revolution and the 1986 inductee into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Fisher Fountain

Fisher Rainbow Fountain, located in Hastings, NE, is illuminated by spotlights and programmed to present a continuous display of dancing waters. This dazzling display is open each night from Mother's Day to Labor Day.

Fort Cody Trading Post and Old West

Great Platte River Road Archway Monument

Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, located in Kearney, NE, It is located on I-80 and nearly 12,000 people pass underneath it daily. This monument allows an interactive tour where you hear stories of the Oregon, Mormon and California Trails, Ride with the Pony Express, hear the rumble of the "Iron Horse" and watch a drive-in movie as you trace the history of transportation and communication into the 21st century.

Harold Warp Pioneer Village

Harold Warp Pioneer Village, located in Minden, NE, is a unique look at the history of man's progress since 1830. Situated on 20 acres, more than 50,000 items in 25 buildings show "how America grew." It is the only museum of progess in the United States. It is amazing to see how tools and machinery have developed and changed through the years, not to mention the automobiles and tractors. The Little Grand Canyon


The Little Grand Canyon, located 2 miles north of Wauneta on Hwy 2. Take fifteen extra minutes and enjoy the beautiful sandhills region as you look out off a look out spot near Wauneta. It is amazing the resembalance to the Grand Canyon.

Minden Opera House, located in Minden, NE, which was built in 1891 has recently been renovated and offers a multipurpose facility, art gallery, and diverse entertainment.

Navel Ammunition Depot


Navel Ammunition Depot, located in Hastings, NE, is the largest WWII ammunition plant containing bunkers, buildings, and covered walkways. Self-guided tours are available year round.

Our Lady of Fatima Shrine

Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, located in Arapahoe, NE, was built by Fr. Henry Denis, a Polish priest, who as a prisoner of war in a Dachau Nazi camp, promised if he was liberated, he would erect a shrine in thanksgiving.

Rock Creek Fish Hatchery and Lake

Rock Creek Fish Hatchery and Lake, located near Parks, NE. It is approximantely seven miles northwest of Parks. Situated near the headwaters of Rock Creek, the facility is an ideal location for raising trout, because of the numberous cold, pure springs at or near the hatchery. Opened in 1924, the hatchery is in production every year. Drop in or call for group tours. There is also a lake near by that isstocked with fish three times a year. Roman Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center

Roman Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, (MARC) located in Clay Center, NE. The 35,000 acre research center is developing new technology in the meat animal industry. MARC provides a huge amount of jobs to the area and is one of the world's most prominent recearch facilities. MARC does research on cattle(50%), hogs (30%) and sheep (20%) and has made itself the largest animal research facility of its kind in the world. Guided tours are welcome to the public.

Sachtleben Observatory

Sachtleben Observatory (Hastings College Observatory), located in Hastings, NE, features a fine collection of astronomical telescopes through which to view the universe. It is open to the public on the Saturdays closest to the first and third quarter moons, weather permitting.

Sondra L. Johnson Studio

Sondra L. Jonson Studio- Cambridge, NE. Is an art gallery in Cambridge with the work of Mrs. Jonson. Between the years of 1998 and 2002, Ms. Johnson created and installed over 14 lifesize and monumental sculptures for both public and private spaces in six U.S. states. The Tassel

The Tassel Phelps County Center for the Performing Arts, is located in Holdrege, Nebraska. This state-of-the-art facility was brought into reality through the collaborative efforts and generous donations of time and funds of area citizens, the Phelps County Community Foundation, and Holdrege Public School Board and staff. It hosts plays of all types and calibers. It is very close to down town Holdrege which makes it great for everything from high school plays and professional performances, to wedding receptions. Theatre of American West

Theatre of American West, located in Republican City, NE, is a dinner theatre which features the Republican City Players in melodramas, musicals, and historic Midwestern circle repertory shows from the 1920's. Regular season runs from April through August with special holiday events in October and December.

Veteran's Memorial

Veteran's Memorial, this 20th century memorial is located in Iron Hourse Park in North Platte, NE. It is a 15 x 40-foot brick bas-relief mural dedicated to and honoring the military men and women of the U.S. who served their country.
