Cambridge Museum
Cambridge Museum, located in Cambridge, NE, houses a large collection of area fossils, Indian artifacts, rifles, swords, mounted birds and animals, and some coin and stamp collections. It also contains a gallery area for art displays, old
photographs, newspapers, and books. The museum is open from April to October, Tuesday through Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and October through April, Saturday and Sunday only from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (pictured on the right)
Chase County Museum
Chase County Museum, located in Champion, NE. The Chase County Historical Museum is a fun and educational way to learn about our colorful past.Located in Champion, Nebraska, the museum has over 1,000 items, some dating back to the 1700's! It has everything from WW1 uniforms to mink coats to farm machinery. The museum is constantly growing and obtaining more items. Franklin County Historical Museum, located in Franklin, Neb., displays Franklin County Pioneer Heritage, Pierce Lyden movie collection, one room country school and Yellow School Bus history.
Furnas & Gosper Counties Museum
Furnas & Gosper Counties Museum, located in Arapahoe, Neb., is open Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the first Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Hansen Museum
Hansen Museum, located in Curtis, NE, was donated to the city of Curtis in 1973 to be used as a museum. The house was originally built in 1910-1911 and moved to its present location in 1948. Call 308-367-4122 for more information. (pictured on right)
Hastings Museum/Lied Super Screen Theater/Planetarium
Hastings Museum/Lied Super Screen Theater/Planetarium, located in Hastings, NE, has information
available on natural history, Native American and pioneer artifacts, antique transportation exhibit, and a firearms collection. Educational programs and tours are available with prior reservations. Kool-Aid Exhibit grand opening was August 10-11, 2002, along with the museum's 75th anniversary celebration. Planetarium skyshows change quarterly. Open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas and Monday evenings.
Harlan County Museum
The Harlan County Museum is located in Orleans, NE, is open May through September, Thursday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Hitchcock County Museum
Hitchcock County Museum, located in Trenton, NE, is a five building complex with exhibits that relate to the history of the county including an extensive genealogy and all cemetery records for Hitchcock County. The museum is open Memorial Day through Labor Day, Sundays 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.Kearney County Museum

Lincoln County Historical Museum
Lincoln County Historical Museum, located in North Platte, NE, features over 100 years of farm machinery history.The museum is home
of the famous WWII canteen display. All structures have been restored and furnished and are open to visitors. Call 308--534-5640 for more information.
Museum of the High Plains
Museum of the High Plains, located in McCook, NE, contains an informal collection of fascinating items of nostalgic interest. A home designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright is located just down the avenue from the museum, and is one of the few homes west of the Mississippi River designed by the noted craftsman. Also see the store where Koolaid was develeoped, a German Prisoner of War Painting, and WWII Army Air Base Displays. Check out the website for more information.Nebraska Prairie Museum, located in Holdrege, NE, displays a scale replica of the original WWII German POW Camp Atlanta, which was located five miles southwest of Holdrege near the community of Atlanta, Neb. Also exhibited are items donated by former military personnel who worked there, POWs who were interned there, and local families and businesses who hired the POWs during the war. Videos of interviews, books are available for purchase. Home and business period rooms, dish collections, arrowhead collection, antique farm machinery and a genealogical library are on display.
Nuckolls County Museum, located in Superior, NE, has unique displays of circus and Indian artifacts, along with pioneer dioramas. A
fully-restored one-room schoolhouse sits on the grounds.
North Platte Area Children's Museum
North Platte Area Children's Museum, located in North Platte, NE. This museum is a place for kids and parents to enjoy hands on activities. It offers visitors a place to experience the wonders of technology, culture and the arts in a unique and interactive atmosphere (experiencing agriculture, laser light room, reading castle, kids's corral, bubble experience and more) for more information call 308-532-3512.
Plainsman Museum, located in Aurora, NE, was built to preserve the local history of Hamilton County with period homes such as an original log cabin, a sod house, turn-of-the-century and Victorian homes. An extensive exhibit of "high speed" photography and moving objects with "stop motion" processing is also on display. To the right you will see some great pictures of the museum.

Sod House Museum

Stuhr Museum, located in Grand Island, NE, features exhibits and collections that tell the story of Native Americans, Old West, and pioneer life. Experience living history in Stuhr's 1890s Railroad Town and pioneer cabins. Stuhr Building and Gus Fonner Memorial Rotunda are open year-round from May 1 through October 15. The Stuhr Building, Fonner Rotunda, and Pawnee earth lodge are also open from October 16 through April 30, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 pm and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Webster County Museum, located in Red Cloud, NE, is housed in a 21-room classic revival style mansion featuring late 1880 furnishings.
